Peru, The Land of the Incas and Lima, City of Kings

The city of Lima is the capital of Peru and furthermore by far the largest city in the country. Tourists, as well as businessmen, get the opportunity to take a look at modern, south-american life. Lima has it all, catering to everyone’s taste

The historical center of Lima features many antique and beautiful constructions which can be found around the Plaza Mayor, where the Cathedral and Palacio de Gobierno (Government Palace) are located, the San Martín Plaza which commemorates the centenary of the independence of Peru, the University Park, the anteroom of San Marcos University, and Parque Italiano with its altarpieces and bronze fountain. Barranco, Miraflores and San Isidro stand out as the most developed districts of Lima. Especially Barranco and Miraflores are touristic places  and have an great selection of hotels, restaurants, coffee-shops, places to work out, art galleries and of course large green areas which are perfect to take a walk or just relax and also large shopping district.  San Isidro on the other hand is mostly a residential neighborhood where equally wealthy Limeños congregate. On request we can arrange a personalized tour of the city.

The south of Lima has different alternatives for beaches where the Limeños relax in the summer; for example Los Pulpos, El Silencio, Punta Rocas, followed by San Bartolo, Santa María and Embajadores, there are also the beaches of Asia more to the south.

“El Silencio” Beach, having a snack at the beach, with the Sun shining - a great experience and highly recommended!

We thought of including some typical pictures of Macchu Picchu, but since most visitors have already found an abundance of them on the web we chose to put pictures of attractions that are in Lima or close by.
